I have a 4 month old bitch and a year old dog, does anybody know why every time the bitch wee's he will wee on top, indoors or out, even though he was clean indoors before we got the girl? Also is there anything i can do to stop him doing this? she is being spayeded middle of feb, will this help at all.

Hello Guest,your dog is scent marking. He will still continue to do it even after your bitch is spayed. You can stop him from doing this in the house by catching him in the act and telling him firmly not to do it. But you must catch him as he is about to do it and not after the event.When you catch him, put him outside and praise him when he goes in the garden. It is also vital that you clean up after your bitch as quickly as possible :-) Do you use a pine based disenfectant when you wipe up the urine? If you do, you need to change it to something that doesn't have a pine smell. For some reason the 'pine' encourages the dogs to mark.
