I am looking to get a pup (our first lab) in the spring/summer and was leaning toward a lab. Today I saw someone with a gorgeous lab, and he said it was the "European" variety. The face shape looked a little different to me, and the coat maybe a little longer(?). Can someone tell me the difference between the types?? Also -temperatment differences if any?

Not sure what anyone would mean by "European Variety" I'm afraid. Most of the big European kennels that I know of have a large percentage of UK blood in their dogs so I can't quite see where that came from. There does tend to be a difference between the "show" and "working" Labradors though. Working are inclined to be leaner, raceier dogs more leggie dogs than their show brothers.
