Have just brought Baillie in from the park, and passed a house where a little terrrier bitch lives. She's not the friendliest dog you could ever meet, nor really are the people who own her.... anyway, to cut a long story short, another nomark, who has a little terrier too, and not a very nice reputation, the owner that is, not the dog!! is in their front garden, trying to mate his dog to this little bitch. The dogs are roughly the same size and do look pretty similar, but I'm betting that none of these dogs have had any relevant health checks, and are purely being used to make a few extra quid :( It makes me so mad - these people won't care where these poor puppies end up, or who with, as long as their pockets are lined

I Know - it's very frustrating - but what'd be the point in trying to reason with people like that. They were all standing gawping out the front door with their mugs of tea whilst this little bitch sprinted round the garden trying to escape the dog. Some people...... It'll be a different story, should the bitch be in whelp and a vet is required :( Let's hope for her sake and any future puppies, that she's not.

What horrible people standing watching the poor wee bitch in distress. Can responsible breeders make any money at all?

That was the thing that I found most distressing - the little bitch did seem very afraid - although I've never been present at a mating, not of the canine variety anyway ;) so I really don't know what should happen.
But they just all sat watching, and today, he was back at the door again, although I didn't see the bitch today, maybe they thought second time lucky :(
