I have a 12 month old male staffy called Axl. He is a great dog and I love him to bits but I do sometimes think that he is a bit bonkers!! He goes on these so called hot laps around the garden and the other morning he tore his dew claw and we had to go the vets. Is there anything I can do to calm him down a bit.

Not the same...but my greyhound ripped her dew claws out twice...so had them removed in the end...as they didnt grow back properly.....re your bonkers dog..sounds like mad half hour to me!!!!!

He sounds normal to me! Age will calm him down - you wait, when he's a sedate (?) 12-year-old you'll think back to the bouncy young lad he is now and think "Aaaaahhhhh".! :D
