Hi Everyone,
We are at our first show tomorrow (6 1/2 month Staffie) I'm excited but also scared stiff, I'll be even worse tomorrow I know I will. Any tips. Does anyone else get really nervous before a show.

Good luck -mand if you are nervous - try sucking peppermints - apparently your nervousness will result in you seceting more adrenaeline - and it will unsettle your pup!! So - lots of peppermints - & hoping we w##hear that morrow you have a red rossette!!
We're taking the Aussie posse up to Ryton on Dunsmore for the Aussie show tomoorw - that will be fun :) - we're taking couch potato Thor with his dodgy hip & have entered him in the black tri class!! He stands like a banana, only moves if he really really wants to - but what the hell - he is OUR no 1 Aussie!!!

Good luck to all, we were at Ryton yesterday along with the Gt. Danes and a Computer show. Avoided going into the computer show by buying a breed book and using up my spare cash. :)

Hi all.
Afraid we didn't do so good, got reserve, but there was only 4 in the class. I must admit I went to the show not expecting to be placed, it was an any variety puppy class and had been warned that Staffs don't do so good in them classes. Apparently if he had been put in the Staffie open class he would of got best puppy as he was the only pup but never mind it was all experience for us. Next Sat he's in another show and he's in the open class so fingers crossed he'll do a bit better. Then on Sun we are off to the potteries.

Gus was the same at his first show - and there were only four in his too .
Put it down to experience and the first is always the hardest and most nerve wracking . :)Did Toesy behave himself ? Did he stand ok and walk ok ? Did he let the judge go over him .
Where is your Saturday Show ??
See you at Potteries - mail me before then !!
And give Toesy a big hug after all that hard work and concentration today ;)

Congratulations Michelle!!
You've survived your first sn#how AND got him placed - now you have to learn how to play the schedule:D - (I'm only just learning how to)
Put it down to a learning curve - and tell me - are you addicted yet??.....

Hi,
Yes I really enjoyed the day. Toesy did well considering it was his first show. He stood as well as I stood him, he stayed still for the judge and let him see his teeth. His walking wasn't perfect but it wasn't too bad either.
The show on Saturday is a local show at Spennymoor
Looking forward to the Potteries on Sunday, It will be nice to meet you Karen and Sal of cause.
I'll e.mail you before Sunday Lel. What time does the show start as I haven't got a schedule.
I'm quite certain it could become addictive.
Michelle.
