I AM PURCHASING AN 8 WEEK OLD ENGLISH BULL TERRIER. THE PROBLEM IS THAT I AM HEARING STORIES OF THEIR AGGRESSIVE NATURE TOWARDS OTHER ANIMALS. I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD SHITZ-ZU WHO IS VERY PLAYFUL. WE JUST LOST HER BEST FRIEND, PETE WHO WAS A CHARPEI MIX TO CANCER AND WE WANTED TO PROVIDE HER WITH A NEW FRIEND (FOR OUR FAMILY AS WELL). THE MALE WE PURCHASED WILL BE ARRIVING OCTOBER 6. HE WILL (HOPEFULLY)BE AN INSIDE DOG ALTHOUGH WE LIVE ON ACREAGE WE WANTED A SMALLER DOG TO BE ABLE TO CO-EXIST WITH OUR SHITZ-ZU. ANY INFORMATION ANYONE CAN PROVIDE WILL BE EXTREMELY HELPFUL TO US. PLEASE E-MAIL TO CONNIERIC@MSN.COM THANK YOU CONNIE RICHARDS

Can just ask if you wanted a smaller dog - why did you choose a BT??
I love bull breeds and yes they can get on with other dogs when introduced sensibly. Just wondered why you had opted for this breed??

Get your pup well socialised. Go to puppy classes where he will mix with other dogs and people. You will have no trouble with him. People make dogs aggressive, they're not born that way!!
Good luck and congrats on the new puppy!

don't know much about this breed but my friend has them. What ive found is they are so solid that anything fragile may get broken, example:I bent down dog, looked up I felt like a brick had hit boy did my eyes water checked for broken nose Ha Ha. Just a thought ! little dogs legs when landed on in play I am probably totally wrong and probably just thinking too much
