Hi Billy,
Would you not prefer to wait until after the New Year? Christmas and New Year is such a busy time for all the family, it's not really fair to introduce a puppy then. At least after all the festivities are over and done, with you'll have much more time to devote to getting your pup settled and housetrained, socialised etc.
By all means, find a breeder and get a pup booked for later on. But any breeder worth their salt would not let a pup go to it's new home at Christmas.
