Stuart is in the next couple of months about to start working from on average 4 days a week which I know Darcy will love but I'm wondering whether that means I should get rid of my dog walker. Stu will obviously have to work and he has quite a high pressure job so he's usually very busy so wont have much time to devote to Darcy. He'll be able to walk her at lunchtime but I'm wondering whether to keep my dog walker on so Darcy gets added company rather than no added benefit from stuart being at home.

For those of you who work from home do you find you have to stop lots and play with them or are they happy to just lay at your feet while you work????

Hi Rachel!
As you know, I work from home but it does take a lot of self discipline. I normally take Emmy for a long walk in the morning and after that she will snooze most of the day, always close by to me, whether at my feet or in the hallway next to my office, she likes to keep an eye on me at all times! If I move around, she will follow, but we seem to have slipped into a good routine. When I take a tea break mid morning we also spend some time playing, then she's asleep again till lunchtime and so it goes... she's up when I'm up, but sleeps when my heads buried in the computer. I've been really busy the past few weeks and she's been a little star, she hardly pesters me at all but it's great to go and play with her now and then to have a break from the stresses of the job. I've never had a Dog walker, so I don't miss the benifits... when I'm really busy it would be nice if some one came and took her out and knackered her out for me, but we're both happy as we are. It might be worth you keeping your dog walker on for a while to see how things go, you might find you don't need her as much, but could keep her on standby if Stuart was having a really busy day?

Oh, and Emmy says when can she play with Darcy again!!!

Darcy was saying just the same thing to me the other day
