I have a fig tree in my conservatory that is getting abit overgrown.

I have had it for years and would hate to loose it so is it safe to prune it back now and how far should I go ??

Thanks

Hi Lucy

We have a fig tree that came with the house.

Other half swears i cut it down really hard one year but i'm not sure - but i DO know i prune it in the spring and autumn and it grows in the summer like a wild green beastie - especially this summer!!!

Do you know what tupe of fig tree it is? Only i have the RHS book on pruning so can try to look it up if you still aren't sure....j
