Topic Dog Boards / General / King Charles Spaniel as school pet ????
- By Moonmaiden Date 23.09.03 12:56 UTC
Grrrr on the local news a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel described incorrectly as above has been placed in a school as a pet for children who are part of a behavioural educational group

The puppy dog descirbed as 8 weeks old was show walking on a lead with the childen & being petted then asleep in his bed.

But no details of what happens to the school pet after the school is closed & one of the staff stated"lines of children waiting to walk the puppy at lunch time"

I can only hope that the poor dog belongs to a member of staff & has proper care. But lots of children walking an eight week old puppy on a lunch time fills me with horror

An adult cavalier would be fine to be part of the group but not a school pet but as a therapy dog

Rant over

How ridiculous!!!
Whats happened to having a gerbil!!!!! Or goldfish!

Any dog would be a bad idea..but a young puppy is disasterour...I wonder if the breeder was informed of this before the pup was born...and If they see it on the news..perhaps they might interviene (sp?)...and take it back!

That's absolutely terrible. What on earth is the school thinking of? I don't have kids, but if that was at my niece and nephews school I'd be straight in there!!!!!

When does the poor thing get any peace and quiet?
