I am looking for a stud dog for Ember, my 5 year old black labrador bitch, preferably in the southeast as I live in Lewes, East Sussex. Can anyone help?

Has she had all the neccesary health checks(not just an o.k from the vets-not good enough).
Has she had reasonable results in the show ring-or been assessed by a breed specialist.
Have you considered her pedigree and what stud lines would suit her and produce the best possible offspring.
Have you looked at her faults(all dogs have them) and therefore know what the stud should excell in.
Have you considered the cost (possibly 1 puppy and the cost of a ceasarian)(sp??)
What are your reasons for breeding-if its not to benefit the breed then I would think again.
Lastly 5 is too old for a first litter-it will be dangerous for your bitch to whelp her first litter at this age-are you prepared to loose your pet for the sake of a litter of pups-it happens more than you'd think!!
