Hi everyone
Seems this wk, we seemed to have ran into a few difficulties with our 16wk old Cav pup Harvey.
Last night we finished decorating our living room, afterwards my partner laid our new rug on the laminate floor. After around 5mins Harvey walked onto the rug without even a sniff and crouched down and weed. Could that be he was leaving his own scent.... his teritory etc?
Tonight, he stood on his own pet bed crouched again and weed. :(
Usually the patio door is open, Harvey has learnt to come and go as he pleases, if it's shut he'll sit and wait by the door for us to open it.
I'm worried that he'll continue weeing on his own bed, is this dirty for a pup to do this?
For the last month Harvey has been really clean.
Seems like i shouldn't count my chickens just yet :(
Any advice?
Thanks Michelle

Haven't had the experince personally, but a puppy at training classes had a simialr thing - turned out to be a food intolerance, then diagnosed as e-coli. Problem got worse and months later dog got admited to an animal hospital. Turned out the original medication for the condition had been overdosed and had damaged natural balance of bacteria , and I think kidney function. ANyway it all got sorted - so advice is see a vet , and ask if it could be a bacterial condition or food intolerance.
Hope all goes well

Hi
HAs your problem been sorted out? I am also having the same problem. Lola was really clean from about 3 months. We have a dog flap. Suddenly she has started weeing her bed! Not just a little dribble. I don't know what to do - any suggestions?
Annie :(
PS She's now a 5 month old Dobe angel :D :D

Seems rather young but this happening with a bitch is often because they are coming into season. Something to do with the hormones, have never had a dog be clean and then revert, think a trip to the vet to make sure he has no problems would be in order.
EDIT: could be that because you had decorated the home he felt the need to scent mark, just to make himself feel at home, but again he is a bit young but it could be that he is feeling a bit insecure, with the change in his suroundings.
