I woke up this morning to find a dead mouse lying beside me on the bed. :D I think my cat was trying to tell me something. What really got me though was the fact that the 4 dogs (Large Munsterlanders) left it alone for me to dispose of ! I thought one of them would have tried to pick it up, but no. They had a sniff and looked at me as if to say ' well I didn't bring it in, so I'm not going to touch it.' ;)

Oh I don't know as far as cats go "dead mice" are just a starter, my tom cat Oscar once brought in a dead half grown rabbit and YES he did used to hunt them and kill them himself. He has also been known to attempt to bring a crow through the cat flap. Luckily he couldn't work out how to get the darned thing through.

It was my sisters birthday on wednesday - she came home from work to find a dead bird under her desk upstairs in her room. Quite how this offering got there without anyone noticing either a cat or a dog running through the house with a large sea gull in its mouth i shall never know!

our old cat 'catty' used to use the fan lights windows to get in, he would have a look to see who was in if my mum was in he would turn back around with his bounty, anybody else and he would come in and let the poor terrified still alive pressies loose :)

Last summer Josh brought a LIVE baby rabbit in. I wondered why he was growling at the dogs, he was protecting it! :D They didn't get a look in. I managed to catch it and put it out the front door where it hopped off _ VERY fast! He has never caught a bird, or at least , he's never brought one home :D :D :D
