There are several alternatives. You can watch where she pees and immediately afterwards thoroughly water the grass to dilute the urine. You could also grow "replacement" grass in seedtrays, so that you can dig out the dead grass and replace it with fresh. Or you can do what I do, and leave it. Trust me, the grass will grow back greener than before once the chemicals have neutralised. It may take 6 months, but it will. I have 2 dalmatian bitches, and my lawn is also spotted - but the position of the dead spots changes as the old ones 'heal' and new ones develop.
The bitches aren't as bad as the dogs - all the foliage on every plant below about 15" is scorched from where they cock their legs - and they 'mark' on the lawn as well!
