Hiya
I am just about to order a crate from Ebay and was just wandering if
A) anyone could confirm I was ordering the right size in their opinion. I was going to order a 42" long for a labrador bearing in mind she will only be sleeping in it at night and for very short times in the day. (The odd 1/2 hr).
B) I was wondering if anyone had ordered a crate from Ebay and if they were pleased with the quality of the crates. They are advertised as `heavy duty galvanised 2 door ones` and the 42" ones are £45.00.
Has anyone used the water bowls that bolt onto the sides of the crates, if so are they any good at all.
It was just an idea to see if it would stop her from vigorously splashing her front paws in her water dish!!!
Thanks a lot. Hilary

Hi - I have bought a couple of crates from PetEurope - have been delighted with their quality ;)

Hi Hilary,
I've not used their crates, but I do use a similar type of water bowl, it's the hook on type and I find they work very well. The screw type would probably work better as it would "stay put"".

Hi, if it is the black finish cage that you are talking about, I have one exactly the same for my Pharaoh and its fine. I think they are really good value although I don't think they would strong enough to keep a very determined dog it. I put a large coop cup on the side of the cage and it doesn't budge, although marley doesn't seem to ever drink from it but its nice to know its there if he wants it :)

Hi...
I bought one on ebay from cages 4 pets and it is superb and very cheap. Only needed a 30" for my breed, but it still has 2 doors.
I don't use the bolt on water bowls so can't comment there.
Whoever you buy from check their feed back... make sure it's real good and there are a good number of them!
regards Dave
Thanks very much for your replys, I think the crate I was looking at has a black finish.
I will check the other sites out as well though, as well as their feedback, that was a good point!! I suppose
how much they charge for delivery as well is worth looking at.
Whats a coop dish as a matter of interest?
Thanks again for replying.

Hi Hillary, A coop cup attaches side of a chicken coop or bird cage its just a round hoop with a butterfly screw on the back to fix it to the side of the cage and the metal dish sits in the middle so that it can't be kicked over. I got mine from the local pet shop. I think my friend got a cage exactly the same in Pets at home for about the same price. I got mine from ebay but I phoned them directly instead of bidding I think the company was up north somewhere but ive thrown all the details away. I remember they were very good though :-)
Hope this helps

Hi Hilary,
I have a crate from petEurope as well, for our Great Dane puppy - and again I was very pleased with the quality. They were also very efficient with the delivery and they seem to be very good value for money, compared to other sites on the internet.

i have one exactly the same as that advertised on ebay and it is great. Very safe and sturdy
Brilliant thanks to all of you.
I`ve been looking on Ebay and cages 4 pets or pet europe aren`t advertising at the moment but they look the same as the ones i`ve seen anyway.
Thanks for your useful feedback and I`ll order one tomorrow because my crocodile monster is growing at a rather fast rate and the crate we borrowed (which was for a friends terrier) is looking a bit small.
When she stretches out her ears dip into her water dish (thats when she has any water left after paddling in it.) Actually she never paddles in it at night, only in the day.
Thanks Hilary xxx
