Just need some advice please......I walk 2 GSD, they are 7 years old, male, brothers and been with owner since December. They both have sensitive tummys. One of them was off colour on Tuesday, wasnt walking very fast, lagging behind, but as soon as I got there ball out he perked up. Walked them Thursday, and he seems worse, and the owner told me he had been up with him in the night, he was being sick. Just spoke to the owner today and he ent no better.....what could it be..he seems so down?

Could be one of several things, Charley. I would suggest a visit to the vet a.s.a.p.

I have suggested this to him...even offered to take him myself, as he works long hours....but he going to leave it for now and see how is in a few days.....I have a bad feeling about this.

Any symptom that is accompanied by the dog being depressed, should IMO be taken to the vet, it is unlikely not be a simple upset stomach.

I am going over in a while to walk them, dreading it, not sure what I am going to find. They have been left since 9am today.

how is he this morning .......i really think this dog should see a vet asap ....... its been it since tuesday and it sounds as if its getting worse i dont think its going to get better on its own ....... if the owner wont take it cant you take it yourself

He wasnt any better, but he wasnt any worse. I am going over to walk them again today and I hope I see an improvment on him. If it was my dog I would have taken him to the vets days ago. I had it in my head...if I found him in a state...I would take him to my own vets...then contact the owner. I had visions of the dog collasped on the floor when I got to him. Not a nice thought.

If it was me I think that I'd take him to the vets too. Dilita my old Spanish was a bit like this a few months ago, although she's nearly double his age and I thought the worse. Took her to the vets thinking that she may have cancer or something and vet thought that it was just a sign of old age and maybe arthritis. Put her on some strong antibiotics for a couple of weeks and she's back to her mad old self again!!

Hope he gets better.
Regards.

That's a relief - I wonder what was wrong with him? But the main thing is he's better now.

I know....they are the same age,.....but he seems more aged than the other one.....got myself worked up over this too. I love them as if they were they my own. These are the only dogs I walk...I would love to do more but dont know how to go about it.
