In todays Ad Trader there is an advert for Tibetan Terriers 5WEEKS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!Convinced it is the same man who was caught bringing 49 pups into Stranraer from Ireland.£250.00 they are and only a mobile telephone number.Makes me so angry.

Do you mean he is selling them at 5 weeks old. That is disgusting, no wonder breeders are getting slammed in the press when people like this are around.

Susan,
Will you please e-mail with the telephone no. as I have them all here and can check it out. We have involved Trading Standards in this area and the Adtrader is not allowed to offer pups for sale under 8wks of age. Report them to your local T.S.O and please ring the Adtrader.

Hi Susan,
That's shocking :( But what's even worse than someone prepared to sell them on at that very young age, is that there will always be people willing to buy a 'bargain' however unfair it is to the puppies and their poor mum.

hi, my pup was advertised at 5 weeks old - but it was so potential owners could choose the one they wanted, and spend the next couple of weeks getting everything ready for their arrival.
i'm sure i bonded with my pup as i was thinking of her and visited her again, and there were preparations to be made. i also went over it all with my partner. when the day came to pick her up i was 100% ready and i'm sure she recognised me!
however i understand your concern - there are unscrupulous people out there and they should be reported.

Hi Bluebird,
I didn't think of it like that - perhaps that's why they're advertised - to check out potential new homes - surely they should state that in their ad - it would point them out as being responsible breeders rather than the opposite. I hope that's the case
Hi,
What I'd do is ring up and go and see the pups, find out if this owner bred them and why s/he is selling them at this age.
