Sooty keeps wee'ing on the chairs and couch. I put the throw in the wash and wash the cushion, but she keeps going back again and again. It's driving me mad! Does anyone know why she's doing this and how i can stop this? I'm in desperate need of help! I take her out every half hour to an hour so it can't be that she's bursting.

You don't say how old sooty is or even what she is. Think the first thing would be to give her her own bed and not allow her on the couch and chairs. If she is a puppy jumping up and down is not good for her anyway. If she is adult have you seen the vet with her, you don't say if she is squating or if it is leaking. Is she elderly, is she spayed, in she in season?
Give more info and we will see if we can help.

Would say she does not know the rules, stop her getting on the couch. When you take her out are you (a) staying with her and (b) waiting till she goes, you should be doing both.
Take a bit more control, don't let the pup have free range of your home keep her in the room you are in or in a room like the kitchen that is easy to clean. You don't say what breed but it is not good for her to be jumping off a chair so for her health and your sanity stop that now. Don't make a big deal of it, but if she gets on the chair lift her off tell her no put her on the floor and praise. If you make sure she is not in the room with the seating unless you are, then you can stop it within I would think 2 days.
Good luck, you can do it, you will be up and down all evening but it will be worth it.

She's is just not housetrained and I expect that you are not removing all of her scent from the couch. I would block the couch off from her and not allow her on it until she is trustworthy.

Hi Shelly
While you are trying to break the habit of her weeing on the couch, it may help to discourage her from getting on it in the first place if you cover the sofa with aluminium foil.
Dogs don't usually like the sound or feel of it as they jump up and so don't go there again. might be worth a try.

I think first new rule sooty needs is ,
Nope your not allowed on the couch , sorry sooty i know its hard on the floor boring in your bed but theres no other way right now.
if its the couch thats the problem then she needs to be taugh not to go up.
Just sharply say no down! or put her bed in the room and tell her to go to it when she trys.
then once shes broken this habbit then you should try letting her up if she still does it then :( sowwy sooty.
foil my cat loves foil:d id have the cat on my couch , dog dosent like it thou;)
