Cassie was given her booster yesterday, but she was sick in the night, now Im worried that shes going to be ill from it. Is being sick a common side effect with these jabs??
I was supposed to take Teddy (2 year old) in for a booster today but have just cancelled the appointment, the thing is Im not sure if he had the full course of jabs when he was a pup, as we only got him when he was 6 months. Im just worried about it now, I dont want to make him ill, but I dont want him to catch anything either.

My Mal was off colour after his booster jab too ..I believe it is quite common. To be honest , I would rather they were off colour for a couple of days than fall prey to the diseases that the booster protects them from ;)

Hi Mel, thuja is a h/pathic remedy you get from h/pathic places. One of it`s uses is for adverse effects from vaccines & is described as a *constitutional remedy*. You won`t get any side effects from it :)

If she was just sick but showing no other signs of distress im sure she'll be fine. I had a puppy react to a jab and she became seriously ill very quickly, being sick and dehydrated. She was rushed back to the vets and was there for a few days. Thankfully she pulled through but is now on nosedodes, a homeopathic version of the jabs (but by mouth) Although it is not scientifically proven there are 100's of dogs using them who have been fine.

Keep an eye on your girl and if she gets any worse take her straight to the vets. Be warned though, they dont like to admit it is a jab reaction.

I work in a vets and its very common for animals to have a reaction to the injections...they can be sleepy, cranky, sick, not eating etc...this should get progressivley better over a couple of days if not dont hesitate to call the vet to get their opinion or book the animal into have a check over.

If in doubt or you are seriousley concerned take the animal back! better to be safe than sorry :)
