Hi, kara my isbt keeps trying to bury her treats....... today she tried to bury 1 in the kitchen floor, 1 in the living room and 1 in the sofa!!!!!
Any suggestions on how i can stop her before she actually manages to to make holes in my house?
Andy
Hi andy, have you got a garden? She could have her treats outside and bury them in a designated digging bit or get a big sand pit for the purpose.... or maybe Kara would have her own ideas about which bit of garden to use?:)

yeah, knowing her she'd proabably either pick right outside the door, in the neighbours garden or just start in one corner and work her way round lol (not that she a little awkward you understand) lol :)

Hi Andy
Posted exactly the same topic on here about a week ago as our 4mth Westie is doing exactly the same! You name it she's tried to bury under/in it! Tripe sticks under your pillow, on the couch, in my hand bag inside a nicely washed and ironed pile of clothes! Lovely.
If we give them back to her she still won't eat them she just goes off and burys it somewhere else. We just let her get on with it now - actually think she looks quite cute pushing 'imaginary dirt' around with her nose!
Cut down on their food so they are always a bit hungry and eat instead of trying to bury their treats??
Don't give them something that they obviously don't want/need at the time?

Now ducking for cover before someone bites my head off :D

Molly only buries her tripe sticks. When she first had them she woofed them down so I know she likes them. Any other treat she would eat there and then. She doesn't bury her bone only the sticks and after 2/3 days she does eat the stick so she doesn't get a new one until I'm sure the original is gone. Plus the fact don't want tripe sticks all over the house - one is enough to find sat next to you!
