I have a 6 month old male stafford who wee's every time he meets someone new. This is when he goes to the vets, he wee's on the vet. When someone new comes to the house he wee's all over them and everywhere else. And when he meets someone new when he's on a walk! he tends to roll on his back so his wee goes everywhere, but he doesn't seem to know he's doing it. Apart from that he's fully house trained! any suggestions?

This is usualy a combination between pleasure on meeting a person and fear of meeting a person. Not a lot of help I know, but in most cases they grow out of it when they get more confident, but not all do. Could ask the breeder as I think it may run in some lines and if it does they will tell you when it is likely to stop.

It is quite common for Staffords to do this through sheer excitement so dont worry . It should lessen as your pup gets older although my 14 year old still used to do it on the odd occasion :)

Hi, I have a Staffie male 6 1/2 months old, he used to wee everywhere when he got excited, but he never weed while on his back. He still does it occasionally but it's definitely improving. I'm hoping he will grow out of it completely, Which I'm sure your pup will too eventually.

I wonder if this is Stafford dogs then rather than bitches because Sal has never peed when she meets anyone ever, nor has she ever rolled on her back.
Is it just dogs or have I got an "odd" bitch ;) she's 10 months now.
