The reason i asked was that when i phoned the vets, the man said he THINKS it will be ok! What kind of reply was that?! Vets here are to busy to speak and one of them is absolutely rubbish. Quite a few comments going around about her. I took Abbey (our cat) down one day as she cut her paw and she was being totally calm but then she said "i think i'm going to have to put her to sleep to put this bandage on"! I said no way so she went ahead and put on the bandage only for it to fall off! So she put on another and it stayed on for 2 days. When that one fell off i decided to put my own on at home and i made a better job than her. Anyway i ended up paying £13 for a bandage..imagine what i would have paid for her to sedate her! Not that the money matters but it's the principal of the matter. That day i also bought cod liver oil for her coat from them and when i took it home it was over a year out of date! If i could go to another vets i would but i have no choice. I was also telling another guy that they don't have scales or a scan machine! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!

Hiya
Jeangenie is right,
It depends where you live and the 'levels' of diseases in that area.
My pups had their second vaccintation not long ago, and they were allowed to go out straight away. Apparently the vaccines, 'top' themselves up....the first one basically gives them more immunity (topping up what they get from Mum), and the second one gives their immunity another boost.....well that's how my vet put it anyway.
I'd never heard of it before and always waited one or two weeks before taking my pups out, depending on where I lived. I lived in Birmingham, and because there are so many people and dogs I left it 2 weeks, then I moved to West Wales, and left it 1 week.....now i take them out straight after their second vaccination.
It really does depend on where you live, and the vet is the best person to advise....If you phoned..maybe you spoke to the receptionist?? don't take his/her word as gospel.....ask the vet, and go by that.
Take care
Lisa
