Just had to tell someone! We got a 3rd in ND at D/ton today, ......Okay there was only 3 in the class but I don't care I'm still chuffed cos at one point when the judge went near his back end he used to just plonk his bot on the grass.
Well Done to all other winners.

Thank you very much, I'm absolutely shattered now I'm off to bed. But its been a lovely day, the weather was great, nice venue and good size rings for a change. Quite content.

By any chance are you the lady who was on the front of D/W a couple of weeks ago with the winning Shar-pei? Sorry for being nosey but just had to ask- if so great stuff!
- By dizzy [gb] Date 13.09.03 19:08 UTC
ive got the top winning shar-pei, she was on the front of the page with pics of us both inside, or are you getting confused with the person that takes out full page adds, and has won one cc, my pics have the dog in the forefront of them ,

Liked the one this week......is it the dog being promoted or the human??????
- By dizzy [gb] Date 13.09.03 20:43 UTC
 pleased you said that not me------ when i put an add in, its clearly of the dog, infact often im not on at all, some adds recently have certainly caused a lot of comments.,
when your winning well you rarely need to advertise as your in the papers often, group placements-best in shows etc all bring fabulous pictures. --free at that. :D

Cant resist..... sorry....... wasnt so much the word 'dog' that came to mind when I saw the advert, it was more 'mutton' and 'lamb' :D

- By vickydogs [gb] Date 14.09.03 14:45 UTC
Shorts? I had to get my glasses out to check she was even wearing anything! God what a poser, did she actually wear that to show the dog in?! :p
- By mattie [gb] Date 14.09.03 15:09 UTC
Well you lot mustve read my miind because I cringe when I see those pictures its supposed to be a dog paper not a fashion mag (groan over)
- By Molly1 [gb] Date 14.09.03 15:55 UTC
It must cost a fortune to put those ads in. But did hear via the grapevine that an awful lot of money was won on the lottery.

Don't be such spoilsports....advertising hasn't ever been such fun since Cookie set a new trend a few years ago :-)
- By Molly1 [gb] Date 14.09.03 16:50 UTC
Ah but there is a slight difference.......you never saw Cookie in her ads!!!!!!
- By Cava14Una Date 14.09.03 21:36 UTC
Oh I loved Cookie's ads first thing I looked at and when she had a new one well!! :-D
- By carolyn Date 14.09.03 17:15 UTC
I didnt mind the picture, yes its a dog paper but why not advertise herself too, MANY people win that way I wish I could get away with it
People would be paying me to put my clothes on :-)
- By dizzy [gb] Date 14.09.03 18:04 UTC
same here carolyne----- ---------i have to rely on the dog :D
- By mattie [gb] Date 14.09.03 19:34 UTC
well at least cookie gives people a laugh and bred some fantastic dogs and is getting her moneys worth out of the dog paper :)
- By mattie [gb] Date 14.09.03 19:35 UTC
anyway how much does it cost to take a whole page out in the dog paper? hope if it was a lottery win they remembered their breed rescue ;)
