We just came back from hoilday and left our bitch with freind who also has a blue roan cocker,shes been fine now shes back ,mabe a little quite but ok. one problem shes started barking at people when were out on our walk:O shes never done this before,
my freind got out her car and walked up to stroke her and the she backed off and started barking and howling at her , she wasent agressive. just cant undertand why shes started this , how can i stop her.

Ignore any unwanted behaviour like this. She seems unsettled by her change of routine. Don't tell her off or 'reassure'her. That will only make her more likely to carry it on.
How old is she?

shes 19 months old she seems to be very nervous when out now. i hope its not a habbit shes picked up.

How does your friend's dog behave on walks? Does she bark at strangers? How does your friend react? Also when is her next season due? It certainly soundslike a new learned behaviour. The good news is she's passed the critical 'fear imprint' stages, so if you're determined you should be able to 'unteach' it.

she finished her season last month , the other dog is supposed to be very well behaved ,im not sure how my freind behaved with her.she normaly goes to my other freinds and comes back fine.my other freinds got a airdale.so mabe this time she realised the other cocker was more like her and copied him. well at least shes stopted attackin the letter box since she went on her hoilday:d
