Hi,
As a matter of interest could someone please explain the difference between the different coats of the Shar pei...I have found plenty of sites but none that explain this..Also is the colour blue a new colour???Thanks ,Marc

theres 2 coat lengths--the very shortest is the horse coat. ------the touch longer is a brush coat -both as correct as each other----but they also sometimes produce a bear coat, very cute, chowlike. but shouldnt be bred from or shown
the blue is a dilute shade, the shar-pei comes in many colours, -black- brown- mahogany- red- red/fawn- apricot dilute - cream pigmented - cream dilute- lilac dilute - chocolate dilute,
they also sometimes are born in parti colours, which is incorrect, but some are breeding for it, ---hope this helps,
