Please could someone tell me why my 11 week old puppies love to rip up the paper in their bed. They are still living in the kennel and very large welping box which is roughly 8 foot x 4 foot. Half of the bed has a nice soft fleece down and the rest is layers of paper. They have soft toys and rubber toys to play with and me, but they just love to rip everything up. This is not a problem but I would like to know why.

Probably simply because it's fun and makes an exciting noise!

Why do young children prefer to play with the cardboard box and not the nice, new toy ? :D

Well I have shut them out and totally cleared out all the old ripped paper and laid down nice new fresh paper and guess what they have been doing since ??

Being puppies? ;)
Another thing why do they like to lay next to you and then try and dig you up. Shouldn't really compain cos I luv my puppies, in fact i have just turned down a home for one of them cos I now can't part with her. it would have been a lovely home as well.

They dig at you to make you more comfy to lie against. Obviously people aren't quite the right shape and need rearranging ..... ;)
And what is their excuse for sinking their teeth into your knee caps.

You're a pal. That's what we do with our friends and family.
seein if you squeal! what fun!
They have a new game now, lets drown the soft toys in the water bucket.
