hi everyone
I have a 5 year old cocker spaniel. He is normally well behaved but lately he has formed a strange habit. He know loves vases or pots, anything like that. Whenever he sees a vase or pot he runs up and put his head in it and howls. He stands with his head in it for ages and just howls and barks. Im worried incase he hurts himself and i dont know where he has got this habit from. It only started about two months ago and ive tried everything to stop it but they wont work. There no point ion moving all vases as their is pots in out garden . I have lots of vases in my house that are reasonably high . Normallly sat on tables and shelf. He just climbs up and carries out his weird richual. When im cleaning them out he just attacks me to get near the vase and start all over again. Hes only small and normally has a wonderful nature but he worrries me. My baby boxer might pick up on this habit and start too. My bitch mongrel is mature and will not do anything like that. Could he have a problem. If anyone has anything that mught help then please post them and I will try them all.

aww i have a cocker too ,
shes got simulare problem she loves anything shiney or she will sit and stare at the wall for shadows and when she sees one she trys to head but the wall to get to it,
fotunatly shes learnt it hurts to head butt it to hard! but she looks like a right nutter!! in the summer she was outside staring at the floor, in the end we just couldent let her out without anyone watching it was just too hot to leave her there.
if i drop a cd or makeup mirror on the floor she will slam dunk it, when she was a pup 8 weeks old she used to stare at my ring, i wondered why but now i know ive got a blue roan magpie!
when i walk her down the road and the wind blows the leaves she will run and tap them like a cat. once a old man said you sure thats not a cat you got there. funny things animals do aye:D :D
