We have a male labrador cross (with a golden retriever) , i read on the net that they reach full size at six months is this correct? Our pup is still small size no where near what is percieved to be full lab size!

When you see 6-month labrador puppies at a show, they are still noticeably smaller than the adults. At about 10 or 11 months would be nearer the mark.
Hope this helps.

I've never had a Lab stop growing until it reaches around 2 years old. The dont grow much in the second year but they still do add a little. But then, I try not to bring mine along to fast anyway.

I would agree with John. :)
My girls have always continued to develop until about two years. This is height as well as the body thickening out.

i have 2 labs both are 4 years old the boy stopped at around 1 year 7-8 montha the girl at about 1yr 4-5 months she does still continue to grow outwards unfortuneately lol i think all vary really but i would think the average is around 1.7 years based on experience of the breed but i think it does depend on the gender
hope this helps

I usually stand my puppies facing me and if they have Knees (bumps in the leg :) ) then they will grow taller if their legs are straight then they will not get taller but will mature (body up ) up to several years and the heads especially on males can mature till they are three or four ........ Hi all,
Murph is 9 months old, 35kgs and about 22.5 inches tall....I'm hoping he won't grow much more!!:D
People say he's huge for 9 months but he's not fat. I know there can be some very big labs out there!

Your dog will be fully grown by the age of 3.Most medium to large dogs take 3 years to fully develope in height and weight.
