hi is there anyone who could tell me about the manchester dogs home i have heard they will give anyone a dog anyone visted it what do they think of it
so any info would be grateful
thank you
I certainly do not think The Manchester Dogs Home or any other rescue centre would give a dog to just anyone without a proper home check. This surely would'nt be a problem would it ?

Every rescue insists on a home check and asks the new potential owners a million and one questions to assess their suitability . Not everyone is a suitable owner :(
If they were to give everyone who visited a dog then it would b pointless rescuing them in the first place !!

I would be more than concerned if a rescue centre did in fact give dogs away to anyone that wanted one without running the necessary checks....is there somne reason why you dont want a home check?? If so, then perhaps you should end your search for a dog here and understand that perhaps you are not suited. Sorry, but rescue dogs have often been through an awful lot, so they need to be guaranteed a guenuine, loving, caring home....if you dont think you can offer this...then you wont even be in the running for a dog.

Neither Manchester nor Birmingham Dog's Homes make home checks neither to they have neutering policies. This is a source of concern for us and all other genuine rescues
