i have now registered, her eyes were tested as a pup, i think she is by pennsmith billboy,her mum is a jenstaff. she is quite small so a med sized red dog would be great.

What about whether the lines tie in?
She should have clear eye certificates EVERY year.

Glad you've had her eyes tested you. Have you spoken to her breeder about what lines would suit her? If she is Jenstaff obviously her breeder thought Pennysmith would suit. So theres a thought? I would not try to outcross if I were you are a "new starter" in breeding try to line breed.

Are you totally "happy" with the way she looks I'm not being funny honest; is there something in her looks you'd like to improve on, I am assuming that she is actually a good looking standard bitch anyhow but every Stafford has soemthing to improve on because the "perfect" Stafford has yet to be born. Maybe something like her ears could maybe be slightly better if so find a dog thats good all over and also has good ears.

That type of thing if you get it, You are breeding to improve on what you alrady have in your bitch not to make it worse so consider it.

Also make sure the dog is checked too, and up to date PHV/HC.

thanks for your message, i have since made contact with her breeder ( mother side) and they have matched her up with a dog that suits her type. where did you buy yours from, they might be the same litter, mine was born april 02. brilliant temperment if it was.

what age do you start breeding from yours

hi Emma

most people only start breeding from their bitch after they are 2 and a lot weight longer than that. they weight so long because a lot of dog are not fully grown until then. Like Stafford's are not full grown until they are 2.5years and some maybe 3. and it also gives you time to do all the health checks and find the right Stud.
