I have just noticed my GSD chewing at her leg, shouted at her to stop hwich she did then went to investigate, at first i thought eeewww yuk a tick but looking closer found it not to be a tick but like a growth thing attached to her back leg (wart????), obviously this anoys her as she was chewing it.
My question is does anyone now what it could be. I have an appointment with my vet tommorrow, as they are fully booked tonight.

Funnily enough I met a yellow lab this morning with a pink warty thing on her head and asked what it was as my chums boxer had something similar. Her owner said she had a tick, it was removed but the wart remained and her vet said it sometimes ticks leave this wart behind. It dosent bother the lab it just looks odd.
