We are hoping that our westie, Bonnie, is 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. Her nipples have pinked up, she has been sick - yellow froth, was off her food to start with but now wants more food. She is even sitting under our feet whilst we eat ust in case we drop anything which is something that she has never done. She is sleeping more during the day and for the last 3 weeks has been getting one of us up every night to let her out to go to the toilet. She just doesn't look pregnant. Our vet felt her at 4 weeks but couldn't feel any pups, although said that because her nipples had pinked up he thought she may be pregnant but could be carrying them high up as her ribcage was high. Is it normal for westies to be this many weeks pregnant but not look pregnant? Could it be that she is only having a small litter, and if so, what is classed as a "small" litter? We have thought about having her scanned, but as she only has 2 weeks to go, I would rather wait than pay out just over £90 which is what we have been told it would cost. Is this about right for a scan? Also, after reading various threads regarding scanning, it doesn't look 100% accurate. Can I have your views please??
