hi everyone a few days ago i posted asking for advice about bringing a rescue dog ( a collie x GSD called Satine) home. i was so nervous! but we picked her up earlier today, and she was amazing in the car, she just sat there and rested her head in my lap then when we got home i left the harness on and gave her a tour of my house followed the guidelines from the shelter and introduced her to my cat (my cat is steadily coming around to this 'intruder'!) i am so happy and incredibly impressed! we were told she hadnt been trained, but so far we've discovered that she knows sit, stay, come, heel she also has wonderful manners! she wont enter the bedrooms without permission and when she's in the back yard she will stand at the back door until i say "come in!" the poor gal's just had been sterilized and had her dew claws removed and still has eyedrops for conjunctivitis (sp?) but i am so happy to have her as part of my family, she is wonderful!..i know i'm not meant to let her on my bed...but i was sitting on my bed and she was sitting on the floor next to me just watching me peacefully..and i just had to invite her up! she's asleep there now...bad me..i know...but she's just wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well she's just woken up and is watching me type..must go spend more time with her!!!!!!! sorry about the babbling!!!

Hi Elise,
Well done for taking her on - I hope she'll do you really proud - she sounds like a little doll :)
Good Luck and do let us know how she gets on.
