Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Arden Grange....

Any info anyone?

I bought a young male not long ago from a friend, and he was on Arden Grange graduate. he was in excellent condition, so I decided to keep him on it.
I've never fed it before, but over the last 10 days I've put my bitch (the one that had pups 10 wks ago) on it......she was looking a bit slim, and her normal food didn't seem to be getting any weight back on her.
Since she's been having Arden Grange, she's looking great, she's at her normal weight again, and her coat is lovely....she seems to have a lot more energy as well.
Whether this is all due to her getting over the 'stress' of having her pups, I don't know....but this food really seems great.

Anyone have any experiences with it?

Thanks

Lisa

I always used the Prestige and the Adult, but agree it is the best of the dry foods that I use, and the highest in actual animal protein content thsat I could find.

I do recommend it and feel its one of the very best complete foods. Apart from improving the condition of every dog I have fed it to /seen thats on it, the ingredients are ethically sourced from real meats - not derivatives and their is no cruel animal testing involved. Most of the other equivalent brands - Iams for example have been involved, allegedly, in the most horrific tests in the past to re-launch their brand a couple of years ago. AG is worth every penny imo. You also get less, nice firm poo ( sorry :-) ) I should be on commisssion really!!!

I don't want to sound like I'm pushing Arden Grange as I work for them!
But, thought you may like to know that we are now one of only 4 pet food companies who can now carry the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) approved logo- which means that no animal testing of any kind is carried out by us or any of our ingredient suppliers.
So I don't sound biased, the other approved companies are: Burns, Naturediet and a vege pet food company.

Hi Liz

Thanks for that,

I'm so impressed with the food. My bitch looks amazing on it, so I've started one of my other bitches on it now, she's only had a little bit mixed in with her normal food for 2 days....but I've already noticed her 'poos' are firmer.
I'd like to get all of the dogs onto Arden Grange, but am a bit reluctant to try with my 3 yr old GSD male. He's always been very funny with food, and it took us a long time to find something that would get any weight on him....now, the slightest change in his diet and he get's an upset tummy.
He's on Dr John Gold at the moment, and he's great on it, which I find amazing as it's so cheap. I suppose they're like us really....some things suit us, some things don't.
I may try him on Arden grange though.....but if I do, I'll introduce it very gradually and see how he goes.

Thanks for all the info

Used to use it and found it very good but had one dog who had a itchy skin so I tried Burns and found that worked so now I am a Burns fan but would change back if it weren't for this one dog.

Do they have a website? I can find a local stockist. When i got Lola, the breeder recommended Arden Grange so I'd like to try it. I looked on Yahoo but came up with 'financial services'
- By ClaireM [gb] Date 03.09.03 12:11 UTC
Looked at it this morning myself! It's ardengrange.com. They have a phone number for stockists but also offer a mail-order service. Unfortunatley for me I don't live near a stockist and I can't commit to a £15 order (min value) when my girls' so fussy!

No problem e-mail or phone AG and ask for some samples.

i had the same problem , its Argengrange.com & if you're a breeder you'll also get a huge discount!

My dobermann has arden grange adult and he looks very healthy on it. Just changed to the adult food as the previous type he had was the arden grange working dog (got it free from hubby work) . The working dog food did seem to make a bit loose but once we changed to the adult he has been much much better, as others have said before.

Arden grange deliver the food free, and you can pay be credit card over the phone. very convenient and saves having to lug huge bags of dog food home from pet food suppliers.
