1. Northern Inuit
2. Labrador (yellow/black/choc)
3. German Shepherd
These are our top 3 favourites.
I grew up with the best yellow lab in the world who passed away when we were both 15 years old. German Shepherd because ours are loving, gentle idiots! (hehe) and Northern Inuit dogs because I've never meet a breed with so much love and affection for everyone one they meet (apart from drunks, then they try to hide behind you!) and can be trusted with children and Evil cats (we have 9 evil cats)
I wouldn't swap them for the world, we are moving house for the dogs benefit! The things we do! :)
Lowchen
Rough collie
Bearded collie
(Must be addicted to hoovering up the hairs :) )

my faves are:-
Long haired black german shepards
newfoundlands
any heinz rescue.(honest, it is a breed)

Well as i have the best Staff in the world and a great Vizsla they are top but.......
a wire hair vizsla (after crufts i hope)
a long hair vizsla (worth waiting for)
a vizsla pup from my boy!! (cant really see anyone wanting him but i can hope!!)
Think i like vizsla's
:D :D

Well I will play:
1st has to be the Norwegian Elkhound
2nd Finnish Laphund
3rd the West Siberain Laika that lives around the corner from me. His owner lived and worked in Finland for many years, and only returned to UK once the Pet Passport allowed him to bring his beloved Sammi home with him.
He looks somewhat like an Elkhound Wolf Cross, being square shaped and curly tailed, but of tallenr rangier build with a lupine head. He is very much like my elkhounds for temperament, never looks for trouble, but no coward.

Natalie
I'm going to strike a blow for the cross breeds. I have got 2 heinz 57's and they are brilliant in my eyes. One is gsd, boxer, lurcher, thingy cross and the other is a staffy, lurcher, thingy cross. As for pedigree's I guess my favourites would be a Bull Mastiff, a Great Dane and a Boxer. I personally like good solid looking dogs. This topic is making for very interresting reading.

This topic certainly is interesting reading. I too have many favourites !! I grew up with 3 Afghans and a Bichon, as much as I loved my little Bichon im definitely more into big dogs. My favourites are ::::
AFGHAN - maybe own another one day, they are just too intelligent for me !! right now I would like a dog that will come back within a few hours when let off the lead and one that will fetch a ball and not just grab it and run loopy round the garden for two hours !!!
SIBERIAN HUSKY - always wanted one of these until a breeder at crufts told me every bad thing they do and totally put me off for life - nice dogs from afar though, I keep thinking that maybe the breeder was lying !!
AMERICAN BULLDOG - ever since "Chance" from disneys incredible journey I have loved these dogs, I did look into them some time ago, and although people say they are bred as pets etc. from reading between the lines it seems they are being bred as tough dogs, not necassarily fighting dogs but not the sort of temperament I want as I am a dog sitter/walker (I would want it to maim the 3 dachsunds I look after !!)
My must haves are ::
WEIMARANER (of the fully tailed variety) if anyone knows of a breeder please email me !!!! blondebird88@yahoo.co.uk
ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL (also with a tail) - I used to walk one, Jasper, he was great fun.
ITALIAN SPINONE (entire tail essential !!) - is it true that they have a distinctive smell ?????
I cant believe I kept that to 3 for each !!!!
Claire
Oops just realised ive babbled for england there and have written twice as much as anyone else !!
