I know how you feel Mel78, my little boy was 4 on 30th August, he started school 3rd September :-( mornings then afternoons till half term, but it still seems way too young to me............even though he loves it!!

I can't believe my eldest just started in the 4th year of juniors...(year 6, as they call it nowadays)..where on earth has all that time gone????
Very scary.

Savannah started school last Wednesday, I missed it as I was in hospital again, I came out 2 weeks ago then had to go back in, she has been with my son since the 5th of August, I just wanted her home to start school properly,I will never get this day back again

My eldest son starts year 6 on Tuesday and my middle son, year 2. My youngest starts full time Reception later in September (he will be five on Tuesday). I have waited years for some real time to myself as for the last ten years or so I have nearly always had a young child at home. BUT now it is looming closer, I am beginning to dread it - my little babies have all grown up. I know they are all happy at school though so that is good.

The time will fly even faster now though I reckon!

When Sara my last daughter started school I made my husband have the day off work as I could not face the house been silent without the children, since I was 18 I had always had children about it took a lot of getting used to.Then we got the first dobe and she help to fill the day

After the summer holidays I have quite forgotten how busy Sunday nights are .
So Far I have helped son no. 2 finish homework , Helped him "back" his school books , ironed his uniform , and sorted his school bag ensuring he has all the necessary books for tomorrow .
Now I know why males dont know how to do anything for themselves when they are older

talk about time flying...I started work at our local school on Tuesday and the week flew by !! My first job in 10 years, since having the boys, and I really couldn't believe how fast the week went by. I'm told that time will just whizz by now..and I believe it. One minute I was nervous to be working again, the next minute the week is over. Scary.
Let's just enjoy our kids whilst we still have them.
My neighbours son goes away to uni in a fortnight, and when I moved into this house her son was the same age as my youngest is now (8)..and to think he's all grown up and going away.

I feel old now.:( My grandson started Nursery School this week. Mind you he is only 6 years younger than my youngest daughter, so maybe I'm not THAT old :D
