Hi everyone

Darcy is fast approaching 10 months and we still have had no sign of her coming into season.

I know all bitches vary but at what age do you start to get concerned if she hasnt????

HI rach, I wouldn't worry for a couple of months yet, Try entering her for a show - always works for me!!! If you have other bitches - if one comes in season keep them together - as long as the in season bitch isn't grumpy - that can work too. Now you've posted she'll probably come in next week!! :-)

Hi rach!
I wouldnt worry too much just yet. I have seen dogs who are over a year old before they have a season (uncommon I know, but the dogs were perfectly healthy....just all vary)

Hope all is going ok.

Most of my Spanish haven't come into season until they've been nearly 2 or just 2, they've always been healthy and had seasons every 7 months afterwards. Like people some start early and others later, I wdn't worry yet!

Rachael

MB came into season two weeks ago and she is ten months so be ready !! Have you noticed any change in her moods. Has she had some moody teenager moments you maybe have been mistaking for growing up moods ? We had a couple of weeks of really moody bar humbug behaviour from her and then she came into season. now she has been the only ever Labrador in the history of the breed that has ever had a season ( or so she thinks ! ) :) :)

Tara was just over a year when she had her first. The main thing that I noticed was that a lot of male dogs started to think that she was very interesting for some weeks before :)

Hi, Saffy didn't have her first season until she was 16 months old! We didn't notice any change in her personality leading up to it either. Her sister was a late starter as well (not quite so late though), so I wouldn't worry yet.
