Yesterday my minibeast got hit on the forehead by a golf ball swatted in her direction by a 14 year old boy. Having aplied first aid I went to the door to see his mum and got " How dae ye ken it was ma laddie? Youve got it in fur him cos he landed hes ba in your gairden so 387878 off" - the ball hit Morse ont he head - so I called the police - so did she to complain I threatened her and they came out to her first! Their interview with me was short and to the point but they felt he hadnt meant it - no harm done and wed both been advised!!!!!! I cant believe the little rat got away with it and I did suggest it showed a lack of care at the least to play golf in an area where passers by and wee ones playing are at risk. Ill be getting a visit from the housing officer for anti social behaviour next.

Anyway its notgood for theblood pressure to think about it.

That'd be right ;) politely asking your neighbours to prevent their kids from killing half the neighbourhood with a golf ball is not only irresponsible of you but severely antisocial as well, you should know better Lorelei ;) ;)

I'm surprised the police didn't say anything to the boy's mother about allowing a child to play with a lethal instrument like a golf club and ball so close to peoples homes . It could have hit a young baby in a pram or a toddler as easily as hit Morse. And sadly threatening behaviour seems to be the mothers Forte :(

If it was me and the ball came into the garden, I'd chuck it thru the window and bill them for the damage (evil :D cue maniacal laughter)

Yes I am duly chastened and will do as the nice policeman asked and call him every time there is an issue with this toerag. Minibeast now has a massive bruise on her forehead but is still out there riding her bike. Morse got hit by a football in a seperate incident which was resolved on the spot. The best thing was how caring the louts pals were as they picked up minibeasts bike and came round to see how she was.:)

OMG  I thought you were referring to Morse   ("My Minibeast") Must have been having a senior moment :) I'm even more appalled now by the behaviour of the mother, tho its par for the course I'm afraid, as long as their little jonny/josie is ok.......

When my Troll Girl was a little Troll one of the brats of her age decided to chop her in the throat with the side of his hand Jackie Chan style  of course she collapsed and the other little trolls came running for us. After making sure her windpipe was still functional my SB went and saw the parents who couldn't see what the problem was !!!!! So (in front of them) SB told little Troll to kick brat in the crotch hard if he tried it again. The parents weren't so keen on that though and it never happened again, he didn't do it to anyone else either :D

Hope your minibeast runs the brat over (accidentally of course) :D :D

I'm going through it all again now with little Troll boy - I must have been mad :D

No its not you its me - they all wanted user names after watching mum escape onto CD so Silverback is hubby thats his Half life name, son is Gothboy (aka Nosferatu to his pals Dad), eldest daughter is Satans Filly, my little dog trainer is Stinkfoot and the youngest is Minibeast. Shes been that since being taken to school as a baby to be bathed as part of a project on Growth and one kid asked if she was a Minibeast or New Life item!

So why are your darlings called Trolls - I like them theyve got pink hair nd that.:D

:D :D :D New Life item - thats so funny :D I love all their names :D

My two got their names because they both can be really stroppy and headstrong even while being all cute and adorable and when they're being stroppy they look like trolls to me! :) And troll girls hair has been so many colours we've forgotten what the original colour is  last week it was pink, currently its deep red but soon it'll be scarlet! She's 19 and in a celtic rock band, but still a mix of ultra grown up and small child depending on her mood:confused:

Tell us the band name so SB ( sound engineer) can look out for Trollgirl...
- By Dill [gb] Date 04.09.03 18:24 UTC
The band is called Here Be Dragons (they're welsh!) and you can see their web site here
http://www.geocities.com/kattpie/index.html

Troll Girl is the violinist. Its possible to listen to samples of their songs but you have to put up with a naff advert first :D :D :D

Ive heard them! :)Did you suggest the Sharon Penman title for their name - read em all but that one was really good.

Ha! :D thats the first thing I thought when I heard their name (I read and loved them all too :D ) but the name of the band refers to the fact the band is welsh (welsh dragons) and also to the saying found on ancient maps to denote unexplored territory "here be dragons" after all they are breaking new ground with their mix of traditional and very modern sounds :D The band have been going for 10 years or so but troll girl became their violinist last December and is having the time of her life :D :D
