has anybody any comments on james wellbeloved i have just changed my bullmastiff randell over to it from bakers complete, randell did love bakers but he had dry skin and was losing a lot of hair. a breeder told me it was his diet ,and to change his food. have i made the right chose?

i personnally don't like JWB as my GSD lost a lot of weight i think it was around 2kg in amonth, anyway we took her off that and she is now on Wafcol potato and salmon or fish and corn. They are both hypoallergenic, gluten, wheat, barley and rye free, which is great for dogs with skin probs

My mini schnauzer loves JWB junior performance. Seems to do really well on it.

I think it's a great brand - I love that it's wheat/gluten and corn free!! Just switched my dogs over to it last month for their 'kibble' bit of their diet and they LOVE it.

Wendy i have to agree with you. Bradley is thriving on the puppy performance. I spoke to the breeder before i changed him over and he said it was an excellent brand. Bradleys coat is absolutely gleaming

I tried JWB because my dog was itching a lot and the result was she itched even more. However, I am not sure whether this was the JWB or the itching was going to get worse before it got better, regardless of diet.

I now use add rose hip oil to my dogs diet, which is supposed to be very good for dry skin. I also switched my dog off most all dog food, apart from treats and a few bits of dry food now and then.

If the itching and dry skin has just become a problem in the Summer it may be an allergic reaction to pollen and plants, rather than a diet related reaction.
