Can someone tell me what exactly molesser breeds are, i know it consists of mastiffs, bull breeds etc. but what does molesser actually mean??

You can go to Google and type in MOLOSSOR you can get lots of info ..basically they seem to be heavy boned dogs including the american bulldog, boerboel, bullmastiff, cane corso, fila brasileiro, mastino napolitano, perro de presa canario and the tosa inu

molosser came from molossi which were a group of people from north west greece and albania who had famous strong wardogs.they were imported to rome.they were wolf like not like modern mastiff type.

As Pynadeth mentions the word come from Molossi - an ancient race .
The Assyrian kings maintained large kennels of Molossians, huge Mastiff-like dogs that were used for hunting and war - so giving the group name of Molosser today .
