I'm not going Karen :(
Have you seen the article in Our dogs ?
10,300 entries with the top entry being CKCS , followed by Retrievers , Labs, Rotties, Irish Setters, and Beardies .
Gulp
How does that compare to Crufts anyone ???

Yes - we are there on Saturdday (although I'm not really sure why :D) - especially when the Aussie Fun day is the following day & I can't give both days of the weekend over to the dogs! We've entered inAVNSC Pastoral - Puppy, PG and Brace (I really think I must have consumed more than 1 glass of Chardonney when I filled in THAT entry form!

Heaven only knows why - I think there are 71 AVNSC's - so how are 3 little Aussies going to get on - and who on earth do I put in brace - do I put in the 2 tris (mother & son) or brother & sister (black tri & blue merle) - and does Al show them both together or do 2 of us show HELP!!!!

At the breeders stakes at Leeds Champ Show, the dogs that did the best were the teams that were all the same colour, and I must admit they were the more striking, rather like wearing the right colour clothes to compliment your dog I suppose. At the Breeders Stakes it was one handler per dog, not sure about brace, I have only done that at exemptions, where You do both yourself

Good luck anyway!

I won't be going (going to the Vallhund activity weekend instead) but two my dogs are going to be joininig you in the AVNSC brace class - we will be the non Aussies! I have a feeling that most of the 71 will be Aussies!

There is pup I bred in the PD class and the others are in Jnr Dog and Open bitch.

I'll be there on Sunday too. It's Anton's first show and I'll be taking Dilita my old girl of 11. We have brace classes for the imports so I've entered them in that. Should be fun with Anton being 6 months and 3 days and Dilita being an oldie!!

I am going on Friday with my whippet - I think there are only 140ish entered - thats not bad for whippets Crufts is well over 200!! So I am pretty happy with that.

My pup shows much better inside a hall so I am looking forward to it!

Oh! shucks, looks like I wont be on my own on Friday, and there was I dreaming of winning both the Toy & the Hound group with my Elk. Never mind have to settle for enjoing the day after all. Best of luck to my fellow exhibitors.
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 27.08.03 23:05 UTC
Diane, which one are you? I'm the tall beautiful, skinny one with the Spanish!!! Well, two out of three isn't bad!!:d

Knowing me I'll either be in my maroon suite or I'm going to have a look round on Saturday to see if I can get a nice blue suite, thought that this would go well with my two black and white dogs.

I love the young female Bracco that's been doing well at the shows, I fell in love with her the first time I saw her although I don't know much about the breed.

Hope to see you there on Sunday.

By the way, you'll remember my name, it's Diane.
- By Wirelincs [gb] Date 29.08.03 17:59 UTC
Hi Diane, look for brown ,shiny hair, a saggy face and big feet then you will have found me and Nico!!!!!! Is the young bitch you like Chestnut Roan? If it is then it is probably Nico's sister Linka. Nico is the spit of her except there is more of him.
I will look out for you
Diane
