Folks, what age shall my Springer bitch start to season. She is 7 months old and last night left small traces of blood/liquid mix on my carpet. It came from nowhere else although on examining her nether region it seemed dry.

Can someone please advise if she can go into season at this age.

im not expert but my experence is that a bitch can start a season from the age of 6mths to 12 months it really depends on breed,it really sounds like her season has started to me but someone with more knowlege might be able to help.

Sounds like she has started wipe her with cotton wool and you should find some colour on it do this as soon as she gets up. Dont let her go near any males for the next 3 weeks at least/keep her on a lead at all times and dont shut her out in the garden on her own watch her at all times.
