We buy these delicacies to reward Master Morse for excellent behaviour and treat them like canine crisps. When offered one his eyes light up his ears point up, and he rushes out into the garden with them, 2 or three crunches and theyre away. So how many of these can he have a week and am I right to view them as crisps? He loves his livercake without the garlic by the way( I forgot to put it in ).

I never give them as my dogs seem to always have upset stomach after, also I read somewhere (probably on here) that the ear is where all the antibiotics are pumped into, that really put me off!!!

Pigs ears can be very dangerous. Please run a search using the search facility in the top righthand corner of the forum page and you will get many past threads on this topic. Never leave your dog unattended with a pigs ear or a hide chew.

Well I tried search on pigs ears and it didnt come up with much so will try again later but that bit about antibiotics in the lug really put me off em! Dont worry our treasure is always visible when chewing rawhide or eating his dinners. I just wont buy them anymore.

Did you know a lot of these hide chews are made from dogs,i would never ever give them to my dogs and alot of dogs have got them stuck in there throats and died or it has given them bloat.

That is disgusting - how do you know? Id have thought there was enough spare cow hide in the country. Id prefer to give him real meaty bones than this ersatz stuff.
