I went into panic mode yesterday, as I had found a couple of spots of blood on the floor.
I knew it wasn't Saffy, as she had her first season in July, and had just gone back to normal.....I was worried as our old girl, Cherry, (spayed), has leukemia, and odd blood spotting can be a sign that things have taken a turn for the worse.
However, after following poor old Cherry round the garden since last night,after she's peed, armed with damp white kitchen roll, to dab at her bits, (much to her disgust!), and worrying myself stupid that I was going to get up this morning and find her laying in a pool of blood, I have since discovered the culprit..

Poppy, who's 18 months, is definately in season again. But she had one on 22nd March, so it's only 5 months ago.
I've had unspayed cavalier bitches for years, and I have never come across them coming in early before. She's absolutely fine, healthwise, or i would have been worried about the dreaded Pyo, but do you think it's the hot weather? Or the fact that Saffy has just finished her first season? (I know bitches can "follow each other in"...) Poppy has been displaying "Humping" behaviour on poor little Saffy...p'raps this explains it.
Anything I should worry about?

My Anna comes into season regulaly every 6 months, a friends Flatcoat every 5 months and another friends GSD every 4 months so no, it is not that unusual, bit annoying, but thats all.

My bitch was regular as clockwork at 8-and-a-half-months, so they all work to their own rules!

Lol...husband says with all these females (is he including ME???) in the house, all you can see on the calendar is when everyone is having "seasons" !!!! Good job the cats are spayed!

My youngster had her first season Mid March and much to my surprise she has come in again at exactly five months. Going to be a bit annoying every five months.....but I was worried she would clash with Crufts if she went six months......knowing my luck she will go seven next time :D
