some staffies i have seen have got small short legs and others have got long legs. Are they both staffies or staffie cross. Might be me just being thick but i cant see any difference apart from their legs.

Staffies tend to fall into two body types - there are the bull type and also the terrier type .
Bulls are more stocky and shorter legged while the terrier is leaner and looks to have longer legs although whatever body type they should both be a Desirable height at withers of 36-41 cms (14 to 16 ins), these heights being related to the weights. Weight: dogs: 13-17 kgs (28-38 lbs); bitches 11-15.4 kgs.

Much taller than that and they could "possibly" be a cross or an Irish Staffordshire

thanks for your help, i have been confused for a while, but it doesnt take a lot these days, been meaning to ask the question for a while, but kept forgetting.
