Although I have zone alarm on my PC, which is supposed to stop pop-ups I still get them. They are driving me mad !!

Any ideas to kill them off forever ??????

Okay ..is this the grey pop up ads or the ordinary pop ups from webpages?

Edited to add:

Have a look at this thread [link http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/board/topic_show.pl?tid=30438&hilite=Pop%20ups#210092]Pop Ups[/link] Where there was a lot of info posted including how to check to see if you have any open ports

Look at the thread mentioned ..check your ports ..a firewall wont work fully unless you have all unnecessary ports closed ;) If they are whilst you are on websites you need to get pop up killer which is also mentioned in the thread

If the pop-ups are grey ones then they can easily be dealt with from within your computer :D
just click on the link below for an explanation and directions for performing a cure :D

The version 2 google toolbar/search engine, comes complete with pop up stopper, I only installed it yesterday and so far it's blocked 129 pop-ups! I also have another POW running at the same time, but google seems to have caught the ones POW missed.

If you have a firewall, say Zone alarm (which i recommend) It has an option to stop pop ups. The only snag is when you have a site that opens a new window when pressing a link, it can sometimes see that as a pop up and stops it. Easy to change on the options though.

Try installing this pop up stopper pop up stopper

If you need to see a pop up for any reason hold down the alt key when you click on the link that produces the pop up :D

I have used PopUpCop for ages and find it very good for blocking pop-ups and other beasties that lurk on the net.
