If I do start showing my dog I would like it to be as local as possible to start off with.Is this being nnreasonable?I live in Deryshire about 5 miles from Burton-on Trent.

You can show your dog wherever you want to - be it near or far.
Some owners lightly show their dogs and others heavily campaign theirs -meaning they attend as many shows as is possible .
The choice is yours :)

There's the Alfreton leisure centre in Derbyshire they have qiute a lot of dog shows there if that is any help to you
