my male rottweiler is 50kg,which is just enough weight for him to stay healthy, with not too much weight on his bones. In the eighties and early nineties there were some huge specimens ,some topping 14 st,but they were often short lived and often had weight related problems.I have had rotts for 14 years now and i have seen them get smaller and smaller, and when i went to crufts i was shocked at how small and feminine the males were!!! I dont know what the acceptable weight is for a rott now, but an average of 40-55kg is about right.I do not show rotts so someone will probably correct me on this, because they show.
