Guest this is an enormous question. First I would suggest that you join us. Then contact your boy’s breeder and ask if they belong to a breed club and if they do say you would like to join. Then join a ringcraft club and learn how to show your boy, they will help you in where the shows are and how to enter. The Breed Club will tell you what health tests are required and where you can get them and how much they cost. (Hip scoring requires you asking your own vet to x-ray and send the plates off for scoring. Eyes are done at special panel members practices or at special clinics or sometimes at shows.) Information on other tests should come from your breeder or the Breed Club.

If you join us we can go through things a step at a time.

Hello again Ian, I'm really pleased that you have decided to take my advice. This really is the best way to have your dog recognised. As Jackie says, joining Champdogs will be an enormous benefit, because you will be able to come back here time after time to ask questions and participate in discussions. There are a few Weimaraner people that are regulars on here. I also agree with Jackie in that the breeder of your dog should hopefully be able to help you get started on the 'showing lark'. Please do join and tell us all about your lad, how old is he? and how is he bred?
If you contact the Kennel Club on www.the-kennel-club.org.uk you can get access to the addresses of breed club secretarys, they are printed at the end of the breed standard, so look for the button for breed standards.
Also have you done a search for Weim breeders and owners on this very site, there are loads!!
Good luck for the future.
Dawn R.

I can give you the Breed club number if you join. They are not secret.
