Hi all. i bought my dog max (yorkie) some cooked mixed meat, ham, pork, beef etc from the butchers for a treat, since he has eaten it 4 days ago he keeps blowing off :). He wont eat although he doesnt have the runs and his stomach is making very loud gurgling noises. Does anyone know of anything i can give him to settle his tummy, i did him some chicken and rice yesterday but he just sniffed it and walked away. He's very out of sorts so any hints would be a great help thanks.

You should not buy such meat for your dog it is not good for it if you want to feed meat feed tripe green uncooked and biscuit meal.

best to starve him 24 hours, then chicken and rice. next time remember that introducing any new food to a dog should be done gradually. having a plate of meat all at once was just going to be to much of a shock to his tum.

Many dogs react badly to pork/ham. Cooked deboned chicken is my dogs fave real meat treat and is very gentle on the tummy.

ok thanks, i never normally change his diet but i thought it would be a nice treat for him, he never had a large amount, today he is fine and has eaten his breakfast as normal although he's still got wind :)
